After playing live at a trance event in India, multi-instrumentalist Prem Joshua and the Dutch keyboardist Maneesh de Moor knew that they were on to a new sound--one they had to rereate in the recording studio.
The result is Mudra, born from the silence of the Tuscan hills and the noise of downtown Amsterdam. On this excellent worldbeat recording, "trancey" analogue keyboard sounds fuse with sitar and ethnic flutes for a unique synthesis of ancient exotic instruments and contemporary Western grooves.
