    My favorite yoga pose is pigeon pose. For me, it combines two of the things I like best about yoga…stretching my hips and relaxing. Very few days go by without me spending time in pigeon pose.

    favorite yoga pose: downward dog. anyone can do it and it’s soooo relaxing and opening for me. after about 4 or 5 down dogs in a class, i find i can breathe so much more easily.

    My fav pose is down-dog as it stretches so many areas of my body and strengthens my upper body at the same time. I tend to do my yoga sporadically. When I’ve returned after a hiatus, I can always tell my progress primarily through this pose as it goes from being an active pose to a resting pose. I love it as a resting pose, it’s such a great way to hang out.

    Lately, my favorite is reclining bound-angle pose. It really helps to open those hips up, and feels oh so good.

    I love pigeon pose, for how it opens up the hips, and can either be more engaged, or more relaxing

    My favorite pose is down-dog. I love how it stretches my legs, shoulders, chest, and back. It makes me feel strong and flexible. I always do a few extra breaths in this pose when practicing at home!

    After all these years, my favorite is still child’s pose. It’s so soothing.

    definitely child’s pose. it stretches my back and is so relaxing. i could fall asleep now just thinking about it…

    I’m going to echo the previous two commenters who said that they love pigeon pose. I’m also going to add plow to the list – though I will disclose that my reason for loving the latter is that I have good shoulder strength and flexibility and so I feel very proficient at it!

    I like pyramid pose with the arms on top of the behind, or behind the back with an expansion of the chest. A bit of being wiggly in the pose, but stretches the hamstrings quite a bit, and the behind, plus opens up the chest!
