Donna De Lory
April 21, 2008
De Lory always knew she would be a singer, and received confirmation early on when she was asked to sing in a Recipe dog food commercial at the age of eight. By the time De Lory hit junior high, she had been immortalized as the voice on the theme song for Disneyland’s “It’s A Small World” ride.
At 15, De Lory and her father moved to Nashville where she says “I began hanging out with artists and songwriters. I picked up a guitar, starting writing a little bit and decided that this is what I really wanted to do.”
De Lory returned to Los Angeles to study singing, dancing and acting. She sang vocals on albums by Carly Simon, Ray Parker Jr., Kim Carnes and Santana, and landed her breakthrough gig accompanying Madonna.
